ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
Technician/Apprentice Trained
Formal training in hardware, and Windows operating environment.
Experience
• Considerable experience of working in a technical environment within high-tech engineering/manufacturing company
• Tool-room/Machine Shop experience, with the ability to manufacture ‘one-offs'.
• Experience of mechanical fault-finding down to component level
• Understanding of precision mechanisms and their associated control systems
• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Familiar with full range of engineering materials and their properties, including modern manufacturing/assay techniques
• Previous experience of providing support to customers both face to face and over the telephone
• Knowledge of the Windows environment and Microsoft suite of products
