annoying rattle
Discussion
There is a double ended I bolt that is a link in the hand brake linkage in the tunnel.
Above this on my car is a rubber pad that had come lose and allowed the I bolt to rattle against the inside of the tunnel
Difficult to access but might be worth a look.Could be worth seeing if there is any excess play that can be taken out of the linkage.

There is not many things that can cause that type of rattle , it sounds to me like a alloy panel or heat shield , check wheel arch Inner alloy panels against bottom tray , also check the front heat shield under the manifold as they can vibrate as well , is the battery clamp tight ??

Is it just the sound or do you get any resonation or vibration coming into the cabin? Is it a tinny metal on metal rattle sound like you would get from thin metal? Or more of a solid sound from something heavy, I.e a spanner hitting a metal bar?
It's a tinny metal on metal sound, it's as if something is floating about and hitting the other part even with the smallest of bumps, it's either right behind me or in the rear end of the tunnelGassing Station | Noble | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
