Hi question, is the front PU meant to sit flush with the bottom of the side indicator unit, just in front of the front wheels?

I've looked at two cars recently and the light unit seems recessed in horizontally particularly at the bottom, it almost looks like the side of the PU is sticking out, perhaps giving a clue its been incorrectly refitted?

Have I explained myself clearly, perhaps if you have a 6-GT2 you could post a photo as I unfortunately didn't get one.

Thx in advance.

Apparantly they all do that a bit. Mine does and its a well known straight car.

I'm going to put it up for sale very soon, so let me know if you are interested

Thx for the reply, it just doesn't look quite right round the indicator unit.

I've just taken a look at mine and all seems flush in terms of the side repeater. All gaps are even with no horizontal variance.
Good luck, epic cars and a fabulous ownership experience.

Took a photo but not been successful uploading. I'm not sure if I was looking at the right bit originally. On the photo taken looking down the flank of the car the indicator unit does appear to sit a little in from the PU and wing, I.e you can see circa 3-4mm more tyre when looking straight down the flank. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the photo's and PM's. In the above photo it's the section of the PU directly below the extreme left bottom edge of the indicator unit, it just seems to stick out slightly and not follow the contour of the light unit as it does on other models, no big deal I guess but just something I noticed on some of the cars I've viewed.

Looks as if I have done a deal on a car, will share pictures once deal completed. I'm now preparing myself mentally for the driving experience and will get myself booked into some driver training. Can't quite believe I've done it, always thought this car would remain out of my reach financially but I done very well with my 993TT.

Onwards and upwards and hopefully not too much sideways action

This is what I'm talking about, friend snapped it on his phone when we viewed a car. Does this look right, I'd expect it to sit flush like on other P Cars unless the GT2 is different? It looks like the trailing edge of the bumper cover needs to be pulled in where it meets the wheel arch liner?

Perry, I sent you a couple of (crap) snaps of mine this morning. You'll see its very similar. You can pull the indicator out a bit so they sit flush, but yes they do look odd and it seems a poor bit of design to me, but as far as I know this does not indicate a problem

The bumper is held on by a screw at that point, coming up from just inside the wheel arch liner, under the side light. Maybe this isn't aligned properly.

Jack up wheel, take wheel off, undo push clips for liner, peel liner corner back, remove light by pulling wheel side towards you, undo screw, re-align and then reverse process.

Or live with it.

Exactly this, when the rads were done the fixing screws have been missed, popped the indicators out no screws. Will get round to doing it once I've come up with a way of getting a jack under the car, or may speak nicely to my local garage.
