996 MK1 GT3 Exhaust

Hi all,

I have been having a search through PH but cant really find what i'm looking for.

I have had a 1999 GT3 for a few months and i'm a little dissapointed with the exhaust note. The engine sounds great, but having owned a 964 with a decent exhaust before the 996 just doesnt sound "Porsche" enough for me.

So, without breaking the bank, what are my options ? I'm assume a pair of rear boxes and tail pipes will make the difference rather than a full system. I'm not looking for something boomy just a little louder and deeper if that makes sense.

Cup filter will give more induction noise - and cost far less than a repplacement exhaust!

Does anything need to be changed for the cup filter ? I assume its a case of removed the old filter housing and bolting the conical filter on ?
