Hi folks

Just looking to sort one out for our road trip in July and upon checking the internet there seems to be some price variations. £ prices are around £33 but Tolltickets.com have theirs for €33 plus €2 postage.

Anyone used these for their vignette?

http://www.tolltickets.com/country/swiss/vignette....

Or do you know of anywhere cheaper still?

It may help but we buy ours direct when crossing the border. A lot of garages sell them too.

Its also a lottery. We drove once through CH without realising ours was out of date. Never got checked but had we been stopped a fine naturally woud have ensued.

Too late now, but you can buy these at the Swiss border as you go through - we did this last week. 40 CHF which is about £27. Was hoping our French hire car had one in already but didn't so someone else benefits from ours as you can't take them off, in fact, it'll be on there for the rest of the year!

Cheers folks

I read that you could stop and get one but time may well be of the essence when we are travelling though as it will be a long-ish day hence the travelling on M-ways.

I'll update when it gets here as the price did seem very reasonable

cheers smile

Well well..how about that.

Vignette arrived today from germany - I only ordered it on Sunday. All for the grand old price of €33 plus €3 postage.

Looks like www.tolltickets.com is the way to go then (if you don't want to stop at the border to buy one)

Only took 2 or 3 minutes at the border, asked the control guard where to buy, he pointed me at a door, parked outside, went in and completed transaction - very easy. Would do it this way again...

Good call. I was tempted to do this just in case we change our travel plans.

For us it suits as we are staying near the border so wouldnt want to stop that soon plus we have a big days drive ahead with the inevitable comfort/scenic stops.

Also €36 is around CHF43 so all in all not a bad deal for piece of mind/convenience (especially when second hand ones are going for in excess of £25 on fleabay)
