I don't know anyone round the immediate Cambridge area however if you're struggling check out Ibbetts in Great Paxton, near St Neots. They do lawnmover repairs there.

I went in there to price up a chainsaw, very expensive. There used to be a place in Gt. Staughton that repaired mowers.

Are they the ones on the A603 ? If not they are also good but can't recall the name of them.

ETA - just checked and that is not them. Rod Widowson in Barton are who I am thinking of. Not used them for service but pre purchase advice and subsequent purchase were spot on.

They're really helpful, they will always strip old mowers for parts if you ask and nothing is too much for them, when compared to wrights mower centre near me the comparison is night and day, wrights used to be brilliant then the owners dad died and, he got in new staff and it's like the gestapo in there now, they will outright say your mower is crap (2-stroke commercial Flymo £600 worth) and their toro hover mower is better!!
