Where to Eat in Florence?
Discussion
Taking the girlfriend there for her Birthday at the end of June. We're staying right next to the Duomo Cathedral.
Any recommendations for the night itself? We're students so I can't really afford to spend more than £100 inc wine.
Any other excursions/places to visit in the city would be welcomed also!
Thanks

Chris
http://www.pizzaman.it/ check these guys out for the best pizza you will ever eat (well the best outside Naples, I have unfortunatley not been to Naples yet).
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g18... this place was nice, with decent views of the Duomo.
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g18... Festival de Gelato do some INSANE gelato. They had an absolute ton of different flavours.
http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g18... stopped off here on the way back from Piazza de Michelangelo. Good food, especially the pasta. The views from the piazza are worth checking out.

OP - nothing to add of any use but just wondering what hotel you're staying in. We're looking to visit Florence/Pisa/Siena in September and needing to book mid-priced hotels.
Great tips on restaurants - have bookmarked!
Duomo B&B. Flight plus hotel came to £280 each so seems reasonable. Booked through laterooms Great tips on restaurants - have bookmarked!

This may not be of help to those wanting to stay in the centre but when we visited we spent one night in the centre (which was a nightmare with a car and expensive for what it was). we decided not to spend the next night in the centre as a result, so after spending the following day wandering around florence we drove and found this hotel a few miles out in fiesole http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g187896-... hotel was OK but really great value and the restaurant was brilliant, amazing value and the best food we had on our whole trip. They make their own wine, make their own olive oil and the steak florentine was probably the best steak i have ever had and only 3.5E per 100g which to those who know is seriously good value.
We ended up paying less for the room and a 3 course dinner for 2 including wine than we did on the hotel room alone in florence (which was the worst hotel room i have ever stayed in and supposedly 4*).
