Ok I'm probably a bit boxster adverse but saw a nice GR example coming out of the train station his morning. As it turned out saw the BOX plate.

Am I alone in thinking that's really lame?

It depends on your point of view, I suppose. I think all personalised number plates are a bit lame, but I also know a lot of people that love them.

Just bought J xxxBOX for mine, disguises the age & looks OK for not a lot of cash. Was going to transfer my GYM xxxW plate from the 944 but decided to see what is available. This came up for not a lot of cash. The Jeep is T777GYM which again wasn't a lot of money & disguises the age,

So why is that lame ?
If that is the case , why have you not previously commented on Crimp a lengths Gt2 plate ?
Or is that because you are obviously not GT2 phobic ?

Not so much of an issue on the Boxster but I run the Jeep on a company car allowance & it is meant to be under 5 years old so is slightly more important.

You should be giving them copies of your insurance, MOT certs and proof of servicing so surely they still know?

Good point. I suppose if the car was a BOX it'd be equivalent to a GT2 but since it isn't and a GT2 is one in about a hundred or two rather than what a few thousands or even 10 thousand? it has rarity on its side.

I still tend to facepalm a bit at the BOX or BXR plates.

Wondering if I'm alone. Won't be the first time TBH if I am smile

Nope, we have to self declare that it is MOT'd & serviced & we give an insurance policy number every year but that is all.
