Sure am, the Z4 is a great car very fast, quite ecomonical to run, very usable but I dont get the same buzz as with gerald, pity i couldnt afford both.

The Z I would recommend to anyone who wants a comfortable nice daily driver (which can get 0 to 60 in under 6 secs) big boot no issues about going away on holiday, dry, warm and the hood goes up and down on the touch of a button. Drawbacks, well the cost of psrts is much higher but EVERYTHING is available just down the road. Servicing costs etc very expensive at main dealers BUT there are many first class independants around who are much cheaper. What they do is just as good as a main dealer but you dont get a full valet, free tea etc confortable lounge with d***y birds around

All in all not too bad.

Yep, Gerald is now residing with me! Had a miserable drive back home in the worst conditions I can remember, but the car performed well.

Unfortunately I have some sort of hydraulic problem with the clutch at the mo but hopefully that can be sorted fairly easily & quickly!

0 to 60 in sub 3 seconds but not my S2, my Suzuki GSXR!

As a BMW and TVR S owner, it is my belief that all things made the BMW way can only have a number, a name is just too personal to be believable.

NOW we're getting close to where the naming of Gerald's successor seemed to peter out last time round.
I thought maybe something Tracey- based would lead to Thunderbird associations. Like The Hood or Thunderbird One.
But TG is right, Vierundfunfzig is pobably Teutonically spot on.

What do you reckon Norman?
