Wales offroad coast-2-coast

Seen this route in this months MBUK, really fancy doing this in June/July. I am fortunate to have some enforced holiday coming up so am going to give it a go. Got a few mates that have expressed an interest but doubt they will follow it through. I realise that doing it alone is probably not ideal in terms of safety but I am pretty fit, early 40's and have plenty of outdoors experience from my Military days. Plan is to travel extremely light and just stink :-)
