Just dropped the pride and joy off at the garage for a service.

Stressed all day, wondering what the garage are doing with it.

Just hate any dealings with the dealer. From sales to the service reception this morning, it is so unprofessional.

Couldn't even arrange a day with the new boxster, so got a boggo A-class for the day, great.

Even instruct them not to clean inside or out to minimise their contact with the car.

Why would you use a garage you dislike/don't trust so much!

Because it is the only Porsche garage on the island.

I would have to add at least £200-300 for ferry to uk, £150 for hotel, £100 food/costs etc... It makes a service pretty expensive. + time off work to do it.

I should add, it is only with them as it is within the warranty. When that is passed it will be off to trusted independent garage.

If I were you (and I am glad I am not) I would go and voice your concerns about st service with the DP - tell him that if it doesnt change you WILL be forced to come across to the main-island despite the cost!!!

If it's still within manufacturer's warranty could you not use Rennes OPC?

if I were you (or poor old DSXXX) I would actually sit in the car whilst the work was being done - hide in the boot!
