A new zombie mod - DayZ!!!

tried it yesterday and it's just awesome!
I hate arma2 engine but the gameplay makes up for it!!

Basically the premise is you spawn with a handgun and little provisions, the aim is to survive. You can go into a forest and live off the land, but you need an axe a knife and some matches for that as the very least. to get all those you need to go into towns to scavenge.

The problem is the towns are full of zombies. (28 days later type)
To shoot one, means attracting the lot in the vicinity.

The bigger problem - other scavengers. They can (and most often will) kill you for your food and provisions.

The bigger problem still - permanent death. If you die you start again all your loot is basically gone, unless you are lucky enough to spawn near your corpse and kill your murderer (you won't spawn anywhere near)

For those who have survived enough, there is even a chance to scavenge enough materials for a helicopter or a car it would seem, but i got nowhere near that far to try.

Most of my troubles were how to stop bleeding, hunger, thrist, fractures, fever, bloodloss etc.

I once found a pile of food in a basement... i kid you not. I didn't want to leave...

Anyway, I plan on putting some game time in tonight and tomorrow. And the game really shines if teaming up.
