One for madcop:
If a driver is pulled over for lets say driving through a red light and is asked "Did you see that red light?"
If the driver says yes will he be done for reckless driving, and if he says no will he be done for driving without due care an attention?
And which one is worse?
I am not trying to start anything just curious.

I did this at the beginning of the year and I would loved to have had the answer then!!!
I plumped for the "Sorry, I honestly did not see it and I understand it was wrong" approach. Three points and £105 later and I was not a happy bunny.
The charge was driving through a marked traffic sign or something similar. However, the fact that I had said at the time that I had made a mistake and not seen the sign DID NOT appear in the cops report or have any bearing in court.
