Le Mans locations (Non race time)

Myself and the good lady wife are going on holiday to France in her MX5 at the end of the month and we're driving down to Fouras where we are renting a flat.



Looking at the route we can take a detour via Le Mans and get some photos of the car on the road parts of the circuit.

Does anyone know of any good locations for shots like an area with a big Le Mans sign?

As u are going at the end of the montg ie 2weeks after the race there will still be alot of sinage about so look for the n138 (mulsane straight), then turn right and head past the mcdobalds towards indinapolis and arnarge etc.
Hope that kind of helps!

Ps are u taking a boot rack or boot bag to put luggage in? Only as k as we too are dking a euro trip in my mx5 sailing to dunkurke on the 30th june, but heading for the ring and lake constance and black forest.

We stopped off in Le Mans last week, just did a day before driving to Caen to catch the ferry home, most of the guard rails and signs were up and got too drive down the long straight and see where the chicanes are.

Stayed in a pretty awful hotel but it was just off the main square in the town and had parking. The Old Town and gardens are quite pleasent the rest of the town is ok.

Also went to the go-kart track but unfortunately they had no single sessions available that day, shame as it looks an amazing track. You also get a good view of the actual le mans circuit from the stands.
