Well it was interesting to follow a well driven quality Noble that anyone would be proud to own. The video shows just how easy it was to ghost the Noble at only 7-8/10ths. There's shouldn't be anything unexpected about it, two different products but for those how thought the Noble would destroy a car like a Juno is Alice In Blunderland!

Great fun and respect Shaun's driving, he's talented and was driving the wheels of Noble!

The Noble overtakes we're all illegal whilst the Juno had slowed to a trot to adhere to trackday rules. Pass only on the left. If it were racing the Juno would have been long gone by going both sides

Look forward to more fun with Shaun, top gunner!

Don't forget to ask Shaun to post the First session when it was a bit quieter and the Juno just pissed off when there was not so much corporate predestrian traffic.

If you can't see it you need to go to specsavers wink

Ah that was it, you were just cruising, pottering around behind the slow Noble, sorry but I don’t believe you,

Why do you own a racecar?

I loved that video Barry...but its not as you say sorry...when you are behind it makes it look you are at 8/10 because at certain points the Juno can come up strong behind the Noble..but when you are leading and watching Shaun's video and he is clearly on your tail the entire time and the gap is constantly opening and closing in relation to the cars strengths..

As Andy pointed out that's with road legal tyres vs slicks, i would be seriously worried if Shaun turned up on slicks..or even one of the more powerful Nobles turned up....it seems from Shauns post that he got bettered by Kevin (GTO600) last time they met...speaking to Kevin he rates Adrian as an even faster driver..so if i were in your position i would now be keeping low and thanking the stars that neither of them turned up..;)

The point i think is proven..remember " Painfully slow!!!"......now it seems we are talking about whether the Noble a road legal car, with aircon, carpet, stereo, doors and roof may actually be a match or even have the edge!!....

Maybe you should sell the Juno, sell the trailer and get your mechanic to just bring a set of slicks to go on your Noble next time if you want to bridge the 5 second gap..;)

I thought timing your car at a trackday was also not allowed and punishable by black flagging?

We all expected the Juno to be quick... it was how quick the Noble is compare to the Juno that we wanted to educate you about... subtle point but you pointed your finger at all the nobles not specifically at Shauns... if GTO600, Sundance or some of the talented noble drivers who have 20% more power I think you would have been dropped significantly on the straights.

do you now see our point that we dont need a noble AND a race car to have fun at track? the Noble is more than enough.

Correct Andy and none of the timming is available on track, it's only down loaded after, therefore post and not timed whilst driving.

On the up side we use 1 set of tyres a year and pads last the same, for that reason my Noble remains a road car thanks!

The truth is that the Juno pulled a gap very quickly in front of tbe Noble and you can clearly see the Noble only gets back to the Juno because of traffic. When it's the other way around the Juno sits easily on the tail of the Noble loosing 10-15 mph

Of course you can view it or make comments to try to convince yourself otherwise but cant hide what you can see, less can be more.

As I said results are exactly what I expected but I know there not what you hoped for.

It's the same difference tbe the Radi SR8 that flew by with 460 Horses.

Good luck with Waffe bashing but you can't bash everything even if you spend gazillions!

Baz when you first talked about the Juno Id never heard of one and thought it was a great machine, watched videos of them and showed an interest, now I'd be happy to never here the name 'Juno' again, you've raised awareness of the brand sure job done but give it rest.

I've probably wasted my time typing the above as you are already 20 seconds ahead of me and have a response lined up that makes it all ok, as its only your opinion and I should read the post properly...

Are you really 49? I've seen a better display of maturity from a block of cheddar cheese.

Barry the Juno is faster, that is not what this is about, its not about proving a Juno is faster than a Noble on the track, its about proving the nobles are not painfully slow in comparison. lets look at the numbers..

2:23 vs 2:28 on a clear run vs Shaun, slicks vs road tyres.

But as was said you did not point the challenge at Shaun you pointed it at all Nobles..

I think you are going to find that some of the more powerful nobles with different drivers are going to close that gap.

I think it is proved that they are not "painfully slow" they are barely any slower than the mighty Juno, and that is only due to the tyres!!!

You are now changing it to being about running expenses, tyres. brakes etc... that is a different matter and everybody will agree with you...but what about trailers and transporting the race car about?? what about transporting your car to Spa..would that be cheaper on running costs??

It has been mentioned many times about the fun of driving to and from the venue and stopping off for a beer and curry and spitting flames from the exhaust gases...smile...you have to take into account " all pros and cons" for many the enjoyment is on many levels...i go on the exotic drive next week...for me its getting together with friends and having a blast..

The point is you started by trying to convince everybody that they are doing it wrong and should copy you, by separating race car from road car... your main argument is that "nobles were painfully slow on track" ...just remember what this is about..lets not start moving the goal posts...;).

It's funny all this banter (please keep it as just banter though, let's not get nasty). You can see on Shaun's Vid that the Juno is quicker but not by much. I didn't realise Shaun's was 500 so it would be interesting to see Kev giving it a go as I remember watching him hounding the M600 at Silverstone biggrin

It very odd that we have been talking about a Juno as a track car and I'm Positive I was 5 cars behind one this morning on the A3 approaching Guildford. Could of been a Rad but sure it was a Juno and the same colours as Juno's one. Was it you?

Banter's usually interesting Bondy. I think a better question to answer is "If you could fit a roof to a Juno would there still be space for the driver's ego?"

We are not expecting to bash everything... the point being made is that there are road going nobles out there that we believe will be quicker on track than your Juno... Im still confident this is true.

pretty sure Shaun's car is cheaper than your noble and Juno combined and much cheaper to run than both of them seeing as you also need a 3rd car to trailor one to track.

I also think the noble race cars will leave your Juno wanting... but then they are race cars and there are LOADs of race cars significantly quicker.

lets not all get too excited though... this is only harmless banter, Im still of the opinion that Noble wins hands down lol

Mike, you are obsessed with fitting big things into small spaces and then finding a way of making it move faster..

fitting a big engine in a juno would kinda defeat the lightweight point of the car...

I've now watched this vid and as it was decide to make the point publically (I know this forum is public but not so much as youtube), I had to comment.

"Just MHO, although he did undertake I belive the Caterham had already finished the corner and was no point coming out wide, which is why Shaun went by (yes you had slowed).
But to have a go about it here and not mention that because of this you over took on the correct side but into a bend, Which I belive is also a track day rule or as you strongly put it (illegal)."

I only made the point as Juno was being a bit harsh I felt. I don't think shaun put the caterham driver at any risk. I also don't think you but the Fezza at any risk but still overtook in a corner biggrin

I've driven the 3.0 V6 Jag Mountune Juno with 420BHP, it's plain crazy at LMP2 speeds but not LMP2 crash protection, great fun but not on a regular basis just too much for my ability.

If you added turbos that would be plain crazy, think it would take off!
