Hi all in Scotland,

I have posted this in the SW region as well, but thought I should try in here also in case anyone can help.

As I mentioned in the title, it is a little odd request but I would like to get hold of a pair of antlers.

The only possible link to a source I can find is Tom Lock who has a small shop now run by his sons I believe in Hawkridge in Somerset, but I have been unable to unearth contact details.

I am trying to get hold of them as a birthday present to the OH who is mad on them. She has jumpers with the emblem on it, t shirts have been
made by friends for her, but not an actual set which I know she would love to have.

As the old adage goes, size doesn't matter too much, anything too big she will be unable to have in the lounge.

Please get in touch if you can help in any way or have contacts that may be able to.

I am of course happy to recompense the former owner or to make a donation to a charity of their choice if they so wish.

Many thanks in advance to anyone that can help,

Best wishes

Jon.

i have a rather large set (maybe 3 feet a cross the widest point), still on the skull, that are unounted and pretty old from a big stag up at the deer farm near brechin. I had given them to my parents but so far they havent done much about them, so i could enquire as to whether they would let them go to a more worth owner if youd like.

That sounds interesting smile 3 feet may be a little on the large side although I would be grateful if you could enquire for me and I can then give it some more thought.

Thanks for helping. It's much appreciated.

Not so odd really, if anyone was going to need a pair of antlers, I guess it would have to be Gene Simmons! hehe

Hi
there are various shops who sell them. Try some of the tourist shops in Fort Augustus in the west coast. i was in one a few years ago and they had a regualr supply. Bound to have a web site and supply mail order. My sister wanted 10 pairs to make a chandalier for her house!

If you give the nice people at the Reindeer Centre a call they will fix you up with a rather splendid set of antlers for a small donation.

Go up to Glen Etive. There's an island in the shallows of the loch that is a bit of a deer graveyard.

Ok, might be a bit far, but it's a cracking drive biggrin

Hi,

Attached photo is of a set of antlers we bought during a holiday in Ardnamurchan last year. We bought them at the request of a friend who then said she had meant longhorn cattle horns not antlers!

Cost us £25 you can have them for the same price plus P & P.

To give you an idea of the size, they are 51cm tall as displayed in the picture and 44cm point to point. Not large at all - probably from a relatively young beast.

Regards,

Andy

Hi Andy,

That's kind of the right size I guess. Probably not too intrusive :-)

Your name I guess is a pun? wink

I immediately thought of Terry Pratchett.

Not really a pun, I am located in Clackmannashire. Are you interested in the antlers?
