We're off to see Coldplay tomorrow night and not really thinking we want to see the support acts (unless you lot tell us otherwise) so want to get there in time for the main act.

Does anyone know what time they get on stage? (roughly)

Oh, come on Greg, since when did the times on the tickets have ANY relevance to the acts on stage?

Calm down dear. Really, calm down.

I've checked my ticket for the Emirates on Saturday, and it says doors open 1630. I reckon that means the first act will be on at 6, the second around 7, with Coldplay around 2030 for 2 hours. So if you get there for 8, you'll be fine, in my opinion.

Is that better, Ali? irked

I worked security at the Coldplay concert last saturday in Zurich. The stadium has a hard deadline for a 22.30 finish due to noise regs.
There were 2 support acts: Rita Ora, then Marina and the Diamonds. Didn't think much of Rita Ora- sound levels were all wrong (loud boomy bass) plus it's not my kind of music. Marina was a lot better (certainly more musical)
Doors opened at 17.00 I think. First act came on at 19.00, played for 30 minutes. 2nd act began at 19.45 and played for 30 minutes too. Coldplay came on around 20.40, and left the stage at 22.25.
It was an awesome concert- I don't think many people know how good Coldpay are live!

As a final comment to the stage layout- if you want to actually see something, you'd have to get there before 18.30. Gold circle tickets would only be worth it if you got in early- in my opinion, large areas of the gold circle would leave you with a compromised view.

Enjoy!

I don't mind the support being dire in this case as I know I'm not missing out while I trundle down the M6 smile

Don't know much about the parking at the Ricoh but according to my mate I'm going with it's rather pricey - I believe it's £15 for the evening yikes
