Awesome sounding car on the A92 near Inverbervie recently?

Anyone heard or know of an awesome sounding car on the A92 South of Inverbervie recently, heard several times normally in the evenings around 9pm. Sounds like an F1!! First of all we thought it was a bike but then realised the tone of it was different and the gearchanges sound sequential.

Any ideas?

I saw an red R8 kicking about two weeks ago Cliff.
That would give off a sound if he's hoofing it?
