You can't really see that the wings and door bottoms are a different colour to the rest, or the big chunks of paint dropping off. It had a bad respray several years ago, the paint doesn't seem to have stuck.

Lovely. Brings back memories of my old Inca Sprint SFN977S I owned when I was 19 back in the 80s. Great fun and quick back then. I recall a day going to a cricket match, 5 up and rammed with gear, I encountered a chap in an RS2000. I lost but it was close. The normally loud Australian fast bowler sat next to me went very quiet and subsequently offered to buy it and wanted to ship it back to Aus.

I went through front pads at an alarming rate and kept a set in the glovebox. I was always tinkering with it and could never get the handbrake to work. Downpipe gaskets lasted about 5 minutes and I used to change the oil more often than my underpants.

I did 40K miles in about 5 years before the rust got pretty much terminal whereupon I pxed it for a 216 Vitesse.

Great cars Sprints, I`d love another.

My first car was a red Sprint, WLO 222M. I then replaced it with a lovely one like this, AMN 766S. Happy days indeed.

I had a Carmine red Sprint with O/D at 18 back in 1983. OAU 570P. Very rusty unfortunately. Got rid and bought an Opel Manta.

My dad had the basic 1300 model (Reg ARO 854F) and then moved onto the 2000 TC (Reg JCB 249P)in bright yellow.

Sad I still remember the number plates!

I'm another who has fond memories of a sprint.

Unfortunately I ignored the flickering oil light and it started to make nasty clanking noises...

Brilliant cars. I'd love another!
