Handbrake adjustment

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on how to get to the adjuster.
Would prefer not to remove exhaust, as it is all welded up or remove fuel pump. Anyone found the best way to access it without major surgery.
I can get close but cannot grip the adjuster and it is quite tight. Tried turning with a screwdriver but no luck.
Final option is to get "her indoors" to have a go… but that will cost dearly……!
