I get really mad when Top Gear Presenters wobble on about "Rock Solid" German build quality. VBH did it this week whilst reviewing a Skoda. "Rock Solid VW build quality". Only last week their "Largest Ever" JD Power survey showed VWs languishing well down the list. VW Golf @ p104, Beetle @ p121 and VW Sharan @ p165. Even some Mercs were well down in the satisfaction stakes. Don't these presenters watch their own shows? Rant over. Feel much better now!

Well at least the new bloke plugged the Alfa 145 over the Golf, but I know what you mean. Tif's the worse for plugging them.
