The SL55 runs fine on regular.

Regular is fine on my Sl55 also. Put V power in and couldn't notice/quantify the difference.

I have been running my 04 E55K for the past 4 years almost entirely on Tesco Momentum (99RON). Cheaper than any other 99 RON fuel but the car certainly performs better with it. Response seems much more instant on pick up; consumption is consistently good - 20.2 mpg overall since I have had it on an average of 12000 miles per annum.

And if I keep it at 70 on motorways ;-) it will do 26.5 on a run ...........

I run mine (53 E55 estate) on either Tesco 99RON or Shell V-Power. However, when on a recent Euro trip I used Shell V-Power 100 which apparently has between 100RON and 102RON.
