Morning all,

Is there a reason for the lack of -3 year old Cayman S' available at the moment, are they that unpopular or has porsche slowed production over the last few years due to the expected new model?

I'm looking for a manual S with sports exhaust, PASM and sport seats ideally from an OPC.

Thanks in advance.

Surprised you would say that cos am currently sitting in Reading opc now and I see caymans all around me! No kidding, on the main floor there's at least 5 of them and plenty more in the car parks around...

May be the spec you are looking for?

OR maybe they are such a great and under-rated car that nobody is selling!!!

More likely that you aint looking hard enough - there are 1000000000's of them on PH Classifieds and at OPC's too - use the force!!

Its probably the PSE that is limiting the numbers for you. This can of course be retrofitted

DoubleSix has a Cayman S (Design Edition I think?) that ticks those boxes iirc, and is selling.

I got the impression he was looking for a Gen2 with the 3 year request, might be wrong!

Yes, looking for a Gen 2 with man box, 19's, black interior, PASM and PSE all for 30 something.

Have got my local OPC on the hunt and have trawled through Pistonheads and autotrader. Boxters seem to be two a penny in comparison!

I may be tempted by a Gen 1 s sport.....

You should easily be able to find one without the PSE and have it retrofitted

Doublesix, If I decide to go for a Gen1 in the next week I will be on contact.

Out of interest how much would it be to retro fit the PSE?

About 1800 notes. Don't go for a gen1 the engines and interior are much better on the gen2 as they are complete new designs

I would not say the interiors much better , just PCM is. also better to retro fit a Exhaust so you can delete two of the 4 cats
Cayman has a bit of a dead spot and removing 2 of the cats helps clean it up abit, + you net another 10BHp+

Its not just the PCM its the look and quality of the whole centre stack as it is black rather than painted silver. I also prefer the steering wheel designs on the gen2

This is exactly the reason why I want a Gen 2.

I rather dislike the gen 2 steering wheel in my car. think the gen 1 is nicer.

only one I like is the option Sports design wheel, which is standard in the Cayman R, 911 GTS and GT3 4.0 or is the PDK padel option
that is a nice wheel. But you don't see many gen 2 with it unless it's a PDK

When I went looking for a gen 2 Cayman S last year they were few and far between in the OPC's luckily I found exactly what I was looking for in a private sale.

Good luck with your search...
