got these just rough mounted at the moment... wires everywhere and just plugged into cigar lighter.

so..

1) cigar lighter is on all the time, so need to unplug when leave car

2) wires everywhere.

is there an easy way to access ignition 12v that I can power these off ? and is there an easy way of routing cables from radar detector in centre of dash down under dash ? i.e. could I stick wire though the air vent in middle of windscreen or summit ?

I need to do this myself at some point. I'm expecting to find a 12v ignition at the back of my stereo. Hoping to take a feed off that.

There is a ignition switched +ve feed behind the radio, I have my Geodesy wired into it.

oh yeh. duh. good point. want to change stereo soon anyway.

that will do.. still don't really want the wire hanging over dash to get to stereo... I'd take it along bottom of windscreen, but my trevor has the usual quality build and half way along it can't be fed in anymore as the screen is pushed against dash.

I've got a geodesy too.

Have you got the re-radiating antenna ?

I got mine 2nd hand off ebay.. it has a re-radiating thing with loose wires at the end where the fag adapter should be... thing is when I tried to connect this to 12v it didn't seem to work.. still I'll try it again tonight.

No I did not bother with that & seem to have no problem picking up the salalite connection.I have it positioned here:-

The wiring just runs around the back of the stereo and connects to the switched live feed.

cool. I thought there was no way it would work down there. I'll give it a go. I've got it under the light pod at the moment.. which is ok, but I can't see it very well as steering wheel blocks it
