Skyrim/Game of Thrones

Just faffing around and found a show called Game of Thrones. Is it me or is it Skyrim, the TV show (kind of).

A town called Winterfell (Winterhold)? Dragons? I even heard someone called a sellsword I think...

Watching the episodes of it as they air in the states and keep seeing the similarities. I suppose there's a chance that the people at Bethesda read the books...

'The Elder Scrolls: Arena' was launched back in 1994, Skyrim is the 5th game in the TES series, all set in Tamriel.

They probably have some connections, but delve deeper into the fantasy realm and you'll see all sorts of things. World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, The Elder Scrolls, Game of Thrones, Warhammer (and Warhammer 40k). There are a lot parallels.
