Anyone in Leamington Spa lately? I could believe what I saw on the Taxi rank; a Subaru Impreza WRX taxi!

Picture coming soon!

There must be a sudden 'thing' to use exotica as Taxi's at the mo,

I saw a Jag S type Sport sitting outside my local pub tonight, crossed the road behind it and saw a taxi plate stuck to the bumper!

Some people have too much money!

My brother lives in warwick, he uses that Taxi - Skyline taxis the firm is called, does pretty well, mean which would you rather have a lift in - a knackered Primera or a Scooby wrx?

I'm a private hire (taxi) driver, currently using a BMW 318i auto touring. The car is my 'office', and you've got to be comfortable when driving 150-170 miles per day in town. When out of town you can enjoy yourself! There is no point driving around in a Cavalier around all day if you can afford better. Having a quality car also aids bigger tips and better jobs. If you're legal (inland revenue wise etc) you also take advantage of the usual tax breaks . You just have to mind you don't pick Mel up in case he gives you a dig (as mentioned in one of his previous postings!)

No,it's Red with a personal plate and once had a streak of vomit down the side. The passenger couldn't get his head out quick enough and the hurl also went down the window INTO the door itself. Had to remove the interior panel and steam the inside of the door. Asked for 50 quid and he paid up.

Are you sure it was me ?? I've never "digged" a cabbie in my life and don't remember saying it.

Can't find the posting. Something on the lines of doing a deal with one of our 'immigrant friends' for £35 when a Black Cab quoted £80, and then you could give them a dig and do a runner! Sincere apologies if I am mistaken, and a free ride if I do pick you up!

Oh yes that would be me then, dodgie cabs don't count thats why I was mistaken and any asylum seeking, gyro poncing, kosovan in kent is fair game in my book.

Certainly in some countries the cabbies don't pay VAT on their cars - that's why most of the buggers drive around in fat blokes Mercs (looks at own profile - ahem), and the chattering classes drive round in knackered old Suzukis.
Fair play to them I say - can't be much fun either listening to the inane drivel discussed by a bunch of lager-ed up lovelies or freezing your chuddies off sat in some rank somewhere.

Yeah, I've seen it too, a black L reg one. Certainly stands out on the rank!
I'm told it's a medical student earning extra money on weekends?
Cheers..... Andrew
