Just a quick question, how often do you guys change them? and do you you put in standard type plugs, or upgraded, performance types?

Thanks..

So far once (only owned for 2 years). Went for standard but your next question will be "what is standard" and that opens the usual can of worms wink

The service schedule for a sierra/granada with that engine in is to change them every year yikes I have to say I always did that and it always seemed to go a bit better confused

I have just fitted Bosch Fr78 plugs following adivce on this forum. Engine certainly feels crisper, but you need a Halfords trade card to get them at a reasonable price....

Given the engine design is 30 odd years old I’d have thought a modern plug from a decent manufacturer would be more than upto the job. Modern materials mean plugs can last for 10,000+ miles in a modern high performance engine so should be more than capable of doing some decent mileages in ours without a drop in performance (IMHO).
