Nice-ish restaurants in London
Discussion
Hi everyone,
Appreciate this may generate a lot of answers or none at all but here goes..
I'm looking for a restaurant in central London somewhere near Oxford Circus/Picadilly that will cost around £40 per head not including drinks that is a little bit different and suitable for a bunch of chaps in tuxes and ladies in nice dresses. Something a little bit different and special would be nice, but nothing too informal. Appreciate I may struggle with my proposed budget, but I really don't know much about the sort of choice there being a poor struggling student eating cans of value beans!
Any suggestions?
Many Thanks

We had a great night in Bentleys a couple of years back - sat up at the bar being fed small dishes of oysters and other delicious seafood, tasting some nice wine and chatting to the waiters and bar staff.Galvin Bistrot De Luxe (Bakerstreet)

I went with to Pierre Koffman's at the Berkeley a few weeks back, really good food and seemed a bargin as we went for the pre/post theatre menu which only costs £32pp for three courses with a glass of Kir Royale! Seems a steal as this is food from a chef that used to have 3 michelin stars, only down side is for this menu you have to be there at around 6-6:30, or 9-9:30pm.
Le Boudin Blanc is a great French restaurant just off Picadilly

I am pretty sure for £40 you can eat there....kind of place where you can wear jeans or black tie. Authentically French.
Tables are quite close together but a good varied menu and the food is very good.
