Quick idle tick over qu
Discussion
Car ticks over for a while as normal but then cuts out on idle tick over and also when being driven there's occasional hesitation / jerkiness - similar to bad fuel or fuel starvation ( the old kangaroo juice as my dad used to say)
Thought it was HT lead connected but I don't any more after wiggling the leads.
Any ideas what it could be - going to be annoying on the trip if not sorted?
Thanks.

Hi Max,
I had a similar problem and found out it was the throttle pot that was giving the wrong signal and causing the engine to over fuel on tickover. Try disconnecting the TPS.
Don't know how but it all seems fixed now - dodgy connection / reset ecu?I had a similar problem and found out it was the throttle pot that was giving the wrong signal and causing the engine to over fuel on tickover. Try disconnecting the TPS.
Disconnected throttle pot, steady drive to warm engine up, reconnected, went on a bit of a hoon (20 miles ish) and not missed a beat!!!
