Touching up my '89 3.2 targas door handles!
I have had the car about a month and am trying to make it look as beautiful as it was when it rolled out of the factory, its not concours tho' so it does need a few cosmetic jobs doing. I want to repaint/spray the door handles where the black paint has chipped and also the targa rain gutters (same paint i think) has anyone done this/reccomend anybody? can it be done myself without messing the car up? sorry for all the questions, but if anyone can help it would be appreciated!

You can take the door handles off and respray them - Scottster did this on his old 3.2, but they started chipping again after a while. Maybe best to get a paintshop to do it properly, to avoid chipping etc.

Be careful. A guy I knew had his handles & targa bar reprayed & it looked great for a while but then it started to flake off after about 2 months.
They're powder coated from original I think - much harder wearing. Might be worth getting this re-done, not very expensive if you take them off and to someone who can do it.
thanks for the replies guys, I think replacement powder coating is the way to go then, what sort of firm would do this? a car body shop, or somebody more specialised? I am on the south coast near portsmouth if anybody can recomend someone....
