battery ran flat on other half's Tuscan, (boot lid left open slightly, so boot bulb on) battery all charged up now, and getting full volts reading on dash, but cant get fuel pump to kick in and therefore start the car.
I think it is an issue with the alarm which is a Meta system, tried using the small alarm key in the dash tray, to the left of stearing wheel, but no joy.
any thoughts? already checked the fuse, fuel cut off switch in the boot.
When I press the key fob button while the key is in the ignition and everything is on, pump wont kick in, but the small green light next to the dash socket comes on.

Try disconnecting the battery, and then hold down the keyfob for 5-10seconds whilst reconnecting the battery. Not sure if it's the same for all tvr's but this worked on my old meta alarm on the chim.

Cheers, just had the same advice from Martin at Bespoke Performance in Hertford, so will give it a go later.
Thanks again.

you might also want to consider disconnecting the bulb in the boot going forwards. I was advised to...

I know you mentioned you checked the fuse. Try pulling out the fuse for fuel pump, immobiliser and all areas related to this-there are about 4 or 5 in total! Take them all out, and also the fuel pump relay. Leave it a min or two, put them all back (let me know if you need a fuse diagram) and give it a go. It may be that you have a sticky switch in the immobiliser which when Is on activates the fuel pump. This will reset it and should make it work if that is the issue.

Hope that helps!

I've got a similar problem with my Sagaris. Disconnecting the battery is not an option as you have to take the N/S/F wheel off and pull the wheel arch lining out to access the battery, then re-seal if afterwards. I don't really fancy that.

I'll give the fuse idea a go though. Thanks! thumbup

Ok, I pulled "Alarm, Immobiliser IGN", "Alarm, Immobiliser BATT", "Fuel Pumps", the "Fuel Pumps" relay, and the "Relay Power" relay, but the LED above the Meta hasn't gone out. frown

Edit: I can see the battery access panel in the N/S/F wheel arch. I have a low profile trolley jack. I have Sikaflex. So I guess I'm going to have to take that wheel off and disconnect the battery and see if that resets it.

Should be the same as the Tuscan, Tamora, T350 and Sagaris are very similar cars.

Depending on how long the battery was flat for, you may have lost the memory on your radio stations on your radio but apart from that there shouldn't be any problems. Just remember to hold down the button on your keyfob when reconnecting the earth on the battery.

The above procedure worked great for me and I'm back on the road. I only needed to disconnect the earth for a few seconds then hold down the feyfob button as I reconnected it, and the immobiliser is fine now.

What an absolutely ridiculous idea.

Thanks for all the advice, much appriciated, found out the ecu was full of water, not good! Boys at bespoke performance in ware lent me another one put my chip in from my ecu and fired 1st time, so problem solved. Sort of! As I think bespoke might want their ecu back

It's not quite as ridiculous as it sounds now that I've done it. I just took the wheel off, undid the two bolts on the panel, and it opened up fine. Was actually a lot less hassle than contorting myself into the passenger footwell like I had to with the Chimaera.
The panel wasn't sealed, so I presumed it didn't need to be re-sealed.

When my mate accidentally kicked the plug for the heater fan system out of place yesterday on the way back from the NEC I thought the fuse had blown. Fiddling around with the world's most inaccessible fusebox, I inadvertently pulled the fuse next to the fan fuse - put it back and immobiliser decided IT was in charge - no going anywhere for me.

Fix with battery below worked fine - but I wonder why TVR never fitted a master battery cut-out. Ferraris all have them and it saves a lot of time, knuckle scraping, swearing and general bad temper!

I would like the fuse diagram for the Tuscan please.
