Just thought I'd start a topic self-motivated to highlight the fact that in 2 weeks it is the 2012 Scottish Italian Car Day on Sunday 27th May, with a new location of the Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse, near Cupar. £8 entry, I will definately be there. I wasn't asked by anybody to start this topic, I just felt like doing it because I just realised it would be on. Only advice I can give right now to those coming by train is the easiest station to get to the venue seems to be Springfield, but the train's don't go there at the time the event will be on, so best thing is to get the train to Cupar. Yes, it is a 2 mile walk if you don't get a taxi or pre-arrange a lift from a fellow PHer but it's not too tough to find your way, walking up South Road (Tesco superstore located en route) then bearing left on A916 until you come to the entrance. Hopefully I'll see some of you there.

This instead of the one that is usually at Hopetoun House? Why the change of venue and date?

Hi there

The Scottish Alfa club run the event on 27th May. The Scottish Italian Car and Bike day is a completely different event run for entirely different purposes and people

Our event takes place at Hopetoun House on 12th august this year, being the 4th year.

The confusion is regrettable

Regards

Paul

My MOT man strategically left a flyer for this on my passenger seat (Euan of CP garage) - if I'm home I've been told I've got to go and support my bro-in-law run the edinburgh marathon frown

When there's a will, and an A-Z, there's always a way :P and the fact that it's a Sunday and I don't have a car or a confirmed lift means I don't really have a choice but to walk

If this is an Alfa fest then i think we'll put in an appearance.

I really want to get some owner info on life with a GTV.

What was the over all experience like?

Did it feel special enough? Anything you hated with it?

Was there the thought of impending doom at the back of your head or was it quirky enough to not make you care?

Well i've got one car and a project. And later in the year i want to build that MEVX5 Superlight out of the car so i need something sensible that's going to be usable in all weather etc etc.

As i said to JC, i'm building my collection. That'll be FF, FR and MR covered, then it's just the illusive rear engined 4WD beasty to pick up.

A sensible car and 2 kit cars isn't that much really paperbag
