Hi guys - on returning home after a run in my V8, I stalled the car on the uphill, gravel approach to my garage. Inspite of several attempts to restart, no joy - the engine turned over ok but with no sign of firing. After having the battery on charge for a couple of hours she started fine.

However to avoid this happening again (in a less convenient spot!), could any kind soul give me any do's and don'ts on hot engine restarts .... thanks for any help given.

Thanks for the thought Norman, but that was sorted before I bought the car. A mate of mine mentioned that over use of the accelerator on restarting a hot V8 isn't a great idea ... maybe that's my problem?

I always used to start my V8S without touching the throttle at all.
