I have noticed a clunking noise comming from the left rear area when I take a left hand corner and quite low speed in my Griff 500.
As anyone any ideas what it could be?

Brake caliper, disc, pad, bearing, half shaft, diff....

Could be anything. Untill you take the wheel off and have a poke around, its hard to say.

Have a look at the thread in the Griffith section today about the same kind of thing. See if it is similar.

Sounds like the Universal Joint or Coupling to me. If it's the UJ, you can force grease into it to see if that stops it, just remember to take note of the position of the UJ's so you can put it back in exactly the same position.

Thanks for all the messages.
I have spent today firstly finding out wat the problem was and secondly fixing it.
The problem was that the steel plate that secures the anti-role bar to the wishbones had cracked thus making the clunking noise when i took a left hand corner.
I have had to weld along the crack to ensure its structuraly sound.
This job took quite a lot of time as I had to disconnect the batt., the alternator and remove the anti-roll bar mounting on both side thus allowing me to be able to lower the rubber bushes to protect them from the mig welding.
Anyway have put it all back together and taken her for a spin, all is okay.
Hope the weather is good on Tuesday so I can go for a long spin in the Welsh hills.
