Coach Excursion to Arnage, Mulsanne and Indianapolis
Discussion
I've done these trips several times in the past on Saturday evening just as the sun goes down via Just Tickets but they don't appear to be available any more. Can anyone offer any other firms this could be per-booked with, it just removes the hassle of taking bikes or driving out from the campsite during the race. Thanks in advance.
Yes, there's a free shuttle bus from the circuit main entrance out to Arnage then Mulsanne Corner then back to the circuit. It's a circular route so you can't use it to go Mulsanne- Arnage. Organisation is fine, a bus every few minutes and I've always got on either the first or second to turn up. (Standing not allowed). They don't run during the night. The first one on Sunday Morning is at around 0630. I don't know when they stop running on Sat evening. This based on the last 2 years experience, it may all be different this year! If it isn't, then highly recommended for the different viewpoints.
I don't think they were running last year, but in 2009 they made sure to take the long way round....
The route's something like this followed by more or less the same in reverse.

A closed circle I mean. And just let the coach keep running in the same direction, just like the hands of a clock (or counterclockwise) over and over again.
That's what they were doing on Sunday morning last year and in 2010. Circuit entrance to Arnage to Mulsanne to Circuit entrance.Thanks. I have also heard that Select Motor Racing offered similar trips in the past so I will give them a call on Monday. . I'd like to be at Mulsanne as its getting dark so I guess it will otherwise be a beer-free day for me and a trip out in the car. We have some newbies in the group this year and they need to experience as much of the circuit as possible. Also planning a night visit to the Porsche Curves this year.
the public ones are a waste of time, in 2010 we walked to arnage and wanted to get to use them to get to mulsanne corner, massive que and 40mins no buses, thought duck it and walked to mulsanne had an amazing few hours watching and eating on the bank then. Went around 11 to the bus stop to be told by a not friendly ploiceman that the busses had stopped running, the walk back from mulsanne when the roads are shut takes a stupid amount of time and is very dangerous on the unlite french country roads with no pavement.
