CALLING ANY TVR NERD!!CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE METAL MESH GLUED TO THE INNER REAR WING IN THE BOOT SPACE IS FOR
IT HAS WHAT LOOKS LIKE AN EARTHING POINT ATTACHED.IT IS SITUATED TO THE REAR UPPER SECTION NEAR THE ARIEL MANY

I assumed it was an earth point for the aerial.

It's earth screening for the aerial to cut down interference on your radio.
Not that you'll ever want to listen to it.
Even if you could hear it.smile

You'll probaly find more mesh over the transmission tunnel behind the radio slot in the centre console. It's there for the same reason.

The type of aerial used on these cars needs a ground plane to work effectively. Usually this is provided by the car's metal bodywork, but of course that doesn't work on a TVR so this mesh is added instead.
