Anyone know when this will be out and what to expect? If you went for a Turbo now I'm getting you'll get destroyed on resale / swapping to a 991 turbo from a 997 turbo in way 14 months or whenever it's out?
Heard they'll be around £135k and due in 2014....no quarter however. 12 months? 14?

I would expect snippets of orchestrated rumours will start filtering through over the next 12 months, with launch sometime in 2013.
However, I would imagine supply will be limited and the 'on the road' price for a 'must have' optioned example could well be £140-150k. Porsche will be positioning it closer to Ferrari, and co.

Thinking back to the 997 roll out, we'll see the normally aspirated 4wd about one year in and then the turbo about one year after that so I'd guess Dec 2013 for first 991 turbo deliveries. I was told by OPC they're not yet taking deposits only letters of interest. Plenty of time to enjoy a 997 turbo until then but I'd go for a used one - good supply at the minute with some folks trading into a 991 in search of the newest thing. BTW came across a lovely clip of two 991 turbos in development at the Ring which might suggest a slightly earlier arrival:

That looks like pretty late stage testing and the vids are from October last year. I agree maybe it'll be sooner....http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2011/10/prototype...
