LYDDEN RACE REPORT...
We qualifyed
It nearly rained.
IT THUNDERED
IT BLOODY POURED DOWN!
THEN LIGHTNING
THEN MORE RAIN SO MUCH IT NEARLY COLLAPSED THE AWNING/GAZEBO
OUR 'GUEST RACE WAS RED FLAGGED AFTER 3 LAPS AS MOST FELL OFF AT TURN ONE.
THEN IT RAINED SOME MORE (WE WERE MEASURING THE DROPS BOUNCING OFF THE TARMAC (7CM BTW!)
then it eased a bit.
but the marshalls wouldn't wave their nice wet flags around with all the lightning around!
(WHIMPS!
) just kidding!
Several cancelled races later.
We had our VERY DAMP race.
Over riding memory
Steaming overalls and RAIN...
Good fun though.
