I have a 18 - 55 and 75 - 300, plus a 50mm 1.8

What do people advise for good all round group shots at weddings ?

Best Wishes

18-55 should be good enough for group shots (focal length-wise), but I guess you already have a good flash & diffuser?

I have a good flash but no diffuser, there is a pro photographer going as well but its my brother wedding and his kids want to folow him round with my camera - Im more of a hobby pic taker unless its motorsport, I did wonder if i could get everyone to run past so I could pan them but ......

Thanks

I'd hire something a bit faster for the day, 17-55 f2.8 should do it from lensesforhire or similar.

Cheers Mark - quite a few of those on Ebay, I might treat myself then sell it again when finished - might work out better than hiring it

rofl as if, you don't have to justify it to me mate, that's the kind of man maths used to persuade one's Mrs that a new photography purchase is prudent hehe
