Ok you well travelled lot. We're visiting relatives in Zambia in July and I'm looking for any personal recommendations for safari/victoria falls trips. We'll have a vehicle. I fancy 2 or 3 days being looked after but our six year old will be in tow so kid friendly options are definitely going to take priority.

Do a quick search fella, there was a very similar thread on here a month or so ago.

In and around Victoria falls there is sooo much to do - in 3 days between us we;

  • Travelled (1.5 hrs max) for a day out to the Chobe game reserve in Botswana where we enjoyed a safari by boat along the Zambezi, a lovely lunch, then a safari by jeep through the game reserve. Saw pretty much every animal you could think of (except rhino). Would be superb for kids!
  • Took a helicopter ride over the falls and into the national park. Again, kids would love it.
  • Took a micro-light trip into the falls gorge
  • Spent half a day at the falls themselves - awesome at high water
  • Sunset cruise on the Zambezi
  • Went walking with lions
  • Had a very interesting night out at the Pub and Grille in Livingstone (NSF kids!)
And we chilled in the sunshine with $1.50/bottle Mosi beers for the rest of the time.

It was an utterly wonderful place, so good that we're already planning to go for longer with the kids next year.

Can supply much more detail should you want it - PM if so thumbup
