Today's race at Cadwell Park ended rather painfully. The rather nippy Fiat Uno of Chris Brogden (with a 160bhp 1500 engine out of an X1/9 ironically) started losing oil all over the track - two laps later he lost control and hit the wall at Barn hairpin after coming across a patch of his own oil slick. Unfortunately I was just a few feet behind him when it happened:



Odds are I won't be racing again this year while I get a new car built and prepared. Thankfully it is only really the shell that was damaged (and the new radiator - doh) so I can transplant everything else.

Bugger bad luck chap.. hope you get everything back together soon.

DOm had a similar problem in the mg at Silverstone. another car blew his engine dumped oil everwhere dom came alone, NO SLIPPERY SURFACE FLAGS and of he went managing not to hit anything but going from 2nd to a dnf!
