Disks and pads are less than 500 miles old!

The other pad on that side was fine. I chamfered the leading edge and put more copper grease behind the pad.

They still squeak though

Is it rust?

Calipers may need a rebuild? What car's it off?
Looks like caliper plate lift. Or are they cheap pads?

I did try a series of 60mph-0mph stops in order to eliminate the brake squeal!

But what is that brown area? The pads are 2 months old and have loads of wear left on them.
Is it rust? Or is that what the next layer of the brake pad looks like?
There wasn't any discernable extra wear on the brown corner of the pad.

Its just rust off the brake discs after being stood. A bit of pad has chipped off and as a result the disc hasnt wiped it clean.
