Hi,

Beginning to think I can't live without a PSE. Has anyone tried retro-fitting one? If so, how much, and was it worth it?

I've not done it personally as my car already had one fitted, but you should budget for around £2k and it is most definately worth it.

I had it fitted to a gen II c2s. Complete waste of money. I ended up selling the car because the sound was rubbish compared to a boxster. I thinK the non DFI engines are better.

There's a group of us did a group buy organised by a chap on here. I think it was about £1800, as opposed to nearer £2500 as a one off. It is a good piece of kit - sounds good, you can switch it off so it doesnt annoy the neighbours or wake the kids, or a very simple mod keeps it loud all the time. Prices vary a fair bit so if you buy a car without have a ring around and get a few quotes. There are other good sports exhausts, indeed in many ways better as they increase performance rather than just noise but a PSE is the only way of keeping the warranty. They arent that common in the second hand market - I think only about a quarter of new cars come with the optional PSE. Some come with it as standard - eg the GTS. Good luck with the search.
