Allowing for the variables is 4th gear on the V8S as near as dam it 1:1. If not what is the nearest to 1:1 in terms of RPM & road speed?
Thanks in advance.

Selecting 4th locks the input and output shafts together in the gearbox, it's direct rather than going through any gears so is 1:1. You've still got a 3.64:1 (I think) in the diff though.

From info in Steve Heath book fourth is 1.06:1 ?

Diff ratio 3.36:1 (V6 is 3.64)

with 205 60 15 tyres this will give 20.6 mph per 1000revs

Not sure what you mean there - there will never be a 1:1 relationship between RPM and road speed. 4th gear is 1:1 so engine speed and prop shaft speed are the same if that's what you mean.
