I'm looking for some help getting my Classic Range Rover Going as I'm at a loss as to what's up with it, I dont want to put it in somewhere that will just try various bits and hope for the best, Obviously T&C but they will be too expensive, Greenbank 4x4 but I'm not sure if they would be keen to take on such a task?

Even an enthusiast that knows their way around one, I'd be willing to pay if it meant I could get it going again

There is a Land Rover specialist in Kemnay that will be able to do it. They're actually LR approved so handle all warranty claims etc so must be worthy. They have done some work on my old Disco V8 and were excellent.

Hmm. Booked my FFRR in there for a service and several small additional jobs. Didn't do any of the additional work but identified a grands worth of jobs that needed doing immediately. After asking around I hear similar stories from other owners and took it to green bank for a second opinion. Bit different to say the least... Got another 6000miles out of the discs and another pass of the mot after that. Wouldn't go back to be honest.

No names mentioned so not naming and shaming I think?

My old man swears by Mann Automotive in Laurencekirk for all things Landy. I've used them for some non-landy stuff too and they are excellent.

I know it's a fair trek though.

Matt,

Always a shame to hear someone who has a bad experience. Maybe I was lucky. My Disco went there a couple of times for gearbox gremlins (three amigos to those in the know) and an intermittent misfire. Pretty sure I still had change from £200 for the two visits and came away with a working car. That said, I've had appalling service from places that others have raved about so it can be hit or miss sometimes I guess.
