Well, big queues into Baldock are now just a distant memory!

One thing that puzzles me though. Why did they not put any access for the Buntingford road when they built the bypass?

I still have to drive into Baldock to get onto it, and yet it crosses over the bypass! Seems very strange.

Could be worse. I remember the days when they didn't have the Buntingford A10 bypass. That was... fun...

Yes. I don't miss the queue through Baldock, with traffic lights adding to the time it took to drive through.

Tunnel could be longer though. ears

Ah, but they still insist on trying to slow you down with stupid lights with no/not timed left filter: Western way and the Baldock Rd, Jn with Jubilee Way. Never seen a Q at these until the lights were put in... I think we should adopt the US system and be allowed to do a left at a Red light.

Thought I'd chip in... has anyone else noticed a change in how long the light stays green at the crossroads coming from the station?
At worst I'd start queuing every morning just before you get to the yellow box junction for the station... now every morning the queue starts whilst you're still in the 40 zone :/

I've sat there watching the temp rise. Not much fun. I don't need to use it weekdays, but weekends aren't much better. Why? Its not as if its Piccadilly Circus....

You can peel off on a couple of side roads before the junction. They're decent shortcuts if you're heading into Letchworth, Hitchin etc.

If anyone is thinking of using this stretch of road this Sunday, don't bother!

The whole section between Baldock and Royston will be closed for the day.

My 10yo daughter calls the Baldock tunnel the "Boobie tunnel".

Looks more like boobs from the other side. I've always wanted to wander over there one night and paint some massive white nipples at the top scratchchin
