Waitrose wine - any rec's?
Discussion
'Campo Viejo' 2008 Rioja Crianza is on offer until 8 May - £5.93 a bottle.
As is 'Les Nivieres' 2010 Red Saumur - £5.69 a bottle. A fantastic summer glugger.
A perennial Waitrose favourite is Georges Duboeuf Chiroubles (a Beaujolais), however prices are creeping up, and it's now £9.49 a bottle.
Stay away from the Waitrose Chablis. These are all £10+ a bottle and nowhere near as good as the Lidl (yes, Lidl) Chablis at £7.49. This was once even more of a steal at £6.99, but it knocks spots off any other supermarket offering.

The Villa Antinori tuscan red is gorgeous. Their own brand Ripasso is a pretty good introduction to that style of wine.. superb
If you like Reds that is..

Curiously enough, just grabbed a dozen myslef.....
The Primitivo De Manduria, is a stonking hefty red, its good at a tenner plus, its a steal at 25% off
The Araldica Gavi at £6.99 (Ithink) is a crisp white, almost sherberty, lovely with prawns etc.
Other than that, the only others I have actually tried, are a couple of the Yalumba offerings,
The Shiraz is good, spicy, and the Viognier exceptional, cracking stuff at £6.70 or so.
Go for it.
