service costs re slk 230.....

Our slk 230 (1999) has done 67,000 ish and is due a service.....I have been quoted by my local indy specialist ( AMG Cheshire - used them before on a E class we use to own - they seem ok ) for an A service £ 195-00 inc does this seem about right.....? also recommended a gearbox service as I could,nt confirm if this had been done at 40k, the g/box service is £ 165-00 inc....sounded ok ish to me for what is basically oils and filters and the usual checks....your thoughts please...

Off the top of my head the gearbox sounds about right if a bit on the high side.
I got mine done last year at a main dealer who charged me 148 all in. Does include about 8 litres of atf though
