Marine salvage article - Help

I'm trying to find an article online that was about a marine salvage team sent to prevent a ship from sinking (actually...perhaps they weren't marine salvage in that case...anyway)
They were kinda like International Rescue, a team of various experts, one of whom (IIRC) was a computer modelling specialist.
I know this is really vague but it was a cracking article that I think was linked to on here.

According to the article the head man "holds an unlimited master's license, which means he's one of the select few who are qualified to pilot ships of any size, anywhere in the world".
Select few?! What about the other tens of thousands of holders of unlimited Master Mariner tickets? There is quite a lot of embellishment in places in that artice.
