Are the nuts not alloy anymore?

As for the repair don't know.

Perhaps a bit of a rub down in those areas and a bit of lacquer may be an easy fix.

A forum like detailing world might be a good place to look for info like that.

They will need to be diamond cut and re lacquered so it's a specialist job I am afraid, the chips away boys will only be able to paint the wheels which won't leave the desired finish?

Get alloy bolts! smile

I got a bit of that on one wheel. Just use some clear lacquer and seal it up so that no water/air can enter.

hmmmm not sure you mean alloy mate, way too weak. Stainless steel (as above) or Titanium is what I would trust.

I'd go back to Porsche re the wheel nuts. Car carries a ten year anti corrosion warranty inc wheel bolts. They replaced mine a few years ago with upgraded bolts which do not rust

My nuts are alluminium alloy AFAIK

Feel weird when you hold them very light.

OK my mistake, good price too , looks like just over £400, Porsche charge nearly a £100 for the cheap plastic (crap) centres .

Jesus really? My centre caps are starting to deteriorate a little, another bill to look forward to.... ah the joys of toys!

EDIT: I got my SS lugs from DesignTek, look way nicer than anything OPC will supply.

Exel Wheels use Lepsons for their refurbs. They come to you, remove your wheels, leave you with loaners, then bring yours back and refit.

Exel + Lepsons are the best in the business.
